LADIES will be looking pretty in pink for what promises to be Warwick Racecourse’s most glamorous event of the season.
Elegant outfits will be on show as ladies, and gentlemen, are invited to the Ardencote Think Pink Warwick Ladies Day on May 18.
It is the final instalment of the inaugural Warwick May Racing Carnival, which has already seen more than 10,000 visitors attend the Wonderful Warwick Family Raceday and Proudly Warwick Twilight Raceday.
The raceday is supporting Breast Cancer Care, and includes a Fashions-on-the-Field contest for the best dressed, along with catwalk shows, exhibitions from local fashion designers and stalls for visitors to walk around. A sold out Tickled Pink Luncheon is also taking place in the Paddock Marquee.
The first race will be held at 2.10pm and the last at 5.35pm, with the highlight being the £10,000 Wigley Group Handicap Chase.
A charity race will also see representatives from 12 Jockey Club Racecourses going head-to-head to raise funds for Warwick Racecourse’s charity of the year – the Air Ambulance Service.
“Ladies Day is always a popular fixture which sees visitors don their best attire to enjoy a fabulous day at the races,” said Andre Klein, general manager at Warwick Racecourse.
“The bubbles will be flowing at what will be a glamorous event, and judges are sure to have a tough job picking out the winners of our best dressed competition.
“It should be an excellent end to the season and also our first hugely successful Warwick May Racing Carnival.
“We’re hoping to draw in the crowds and of course raise as much money as possible for both Breast Cancer Care and the Air Ambulance Service.”
Gates open at 12.10pm and general admission tickets are priced at £10 when bought in advance from www.warwickracecourse.co.uk. Children under the age of 17 enter for free. For further information call 01926 405 560.
