SPA Striders were in action over the weekend, as 18 athletes raced in the Ilmington 10km event on Sunday morning.
Spa’s Adam Notley was first across the line (39:00) after finishing fourth overall and second in his age group – leading the way for the Striders by running the same race two minutes quicker than he had achieved last year.
Meanwhile, Tim Beresford also ran a significantly faster race than in 2018 by completing the course three minutes quicker to finish with a time of 41:07, and a 13th finish overall, whilst Steven Taylor came in four seconds later in 14th.
Rob Mantell (44:59), Clare Hinton (45:19) – the sixth fastest lady across the line and the third fastest in the FV35 group – followed by David Chantrey (45:23) came through shortly after for the Striders.
Iain Roebuck came through in 46:44, Rachel Wignell was the tenth fastest lady with a time of 47:44, whilst Matt Leydon (49:11) was six seconds faster than Carolyn Wilkinson – who was the third fastest in the FV45 group, to cross the line.
Michael Clarke would cross next for Spa in 52:30, Doug Rattray in 53:34 and Kevin Baskerville finished closely in behind in 53:39, whilst Lorraine Parsons (55:59), Tina Roebuck (58:37), Helen Pugh (01:00:43) and Natalie Dellar (01:09:49) completed the round-up of runners for the Striders.
