LEAMINGTON RFC were thrashed 64-3 by a revitalised Silhillians side to suffer their heaviest defeat of the season.
The visitors conceded five tries in each half with centre James Dunne scoring Leamington’s only points of the afternoon from the kicking tee.
And the result means Leamington sit ninth in the Midlands 2 West (South) table, after suffering a third successive defeat on the road.
Their opponents Silhillians are now on a five-game winning run but a silver lining for Leamington was the performance of young and exciting scrum-half Ben Parsons on debut and the return of influential forward John Brear.
The away side had plenty of tackling practice throughout the afternoon and made the hosts work hard for the majority of their points.
Leamington are next in action at home to Barkers Butts on Saturday, February 19 with kick-off at 2.15pm at Moorefields.
