CRICKET: A DOMINANT win against Moseley coupled with Massey Ferguson’s loss to Bulkington confirmed Warwick promotion to Division Four of the Warwickshire Cricket League.
Promotion comes with four games still remaining, and Warwick will be eyeing title glory this weekend against Kings Heath with only nine points needed to clinch the Division Five title.
Warwick skipper Matt Warren won the toss and chose to bowl.
Opening bowler Joshua Osborne continued his form with the ball, picking up three early wickets.
Hasnain Mahmood provided some resistance with 66 from 99 balls. But wickets fell at regular intervals and the visitors were eventually bowled out for 153.
Warwick made a poor start in reply and were reduced to 24/2 as Adrian Passey and James Sood were removed cheaply.
But Warren (84*) joined Graeme Burke (50*) at the crease, and the pair comfortably led Warwick to an eight wicket win.
