Leamington Editorial 27th Sep, 2018   0

OLD Leamingtonians chalked up their third win of the Midlands Three West (South) season with a comfortable 43-5 victory over Stoke Old Boys on Saturday.

It took all of five minutes for OLs to open the scoring when full back Oscar Heath touched down out wide on the right.

Henry Reynolds kicked the extras.

From the kick off OLs again took charge, driving deep into the Stoke half before Callum Semple crossed the line for a try which was converted by Reynolds.

Tom Eales was next to touch down for the hosts but the try went unconverted as OLs stretched their lead to 31-0 at half-time to claim the bonus point.

OLs continued their second half from where they left off in the first, with Joe Talamini crossing the line for try number six.

Eales then completed his hat-trick not long afterwards, with Heath kicking the conversion to put OLs 43-0 up.

Stoke managed to score a consolation try in stoppage time to complete the afternoon’s scoring.

OLs travel to Upton-upon-Severn on Saturday.
