THE JUNIOR section of Leamington Khalsa caught a delivery of cricket tops courtesy of local law firm Wright Hassall.

The solicitors, based on Olympus Avenue in Leamington, is the major sponsor for the new cricket tops for the club’s entire junior section, which is made up of around 50 cricketers between the ages of six to 15.

The ECB Clubmark accredited club trains on Friday evenings at the Warwickshire County Council sports ground on Myton Road and has teams at under 9s, 11s, 12s, 14s, and 15s in the Warwickshire League.

“Cricket can be an expensive sport when you factor in all the kit needed, training and ground hire costs, so we really appreciate the support from Wright Hassall in funding the new cricket tops,” said Kulvinder Dulay, treasurer of Leamington Khalsa Cricket Club.

“The junior section is the future of the club and provides a key pathway to develop players to make the step-up to our adult teams and playing in good quality kits can only help our teams.”

Wright Hassall partners Pete Maguire and Christine Jackson were on hand to present the new tops to the young cricketers.

Pete added: “It is clear to see the club has a thriving youth section and we wish the teams all the best for the rest of the season and hope they enjoy playing in the new kits.”

The club is looking for new players at all age groups and will be running a summer camp as well as winter indoor training. If you are interested in playing please go to leamingtonkhalsacc.co.uk or contact Kulvinder Dulay on 07599 277136.
