SPORTY schoolgirls have showcased their skills at a regional competition held at The Gloucester Ski and Snowboard Centre
Four teams of 16 girls from The Kingsley’s School competed in the Midland and South West Regional Qualifying race.
The Year 7 and 8 teams finished 1st, with Hannah Dennison coming second in her age group, while the Year 9 and 10 teams were 3rd and the Year 11 and 13 teams were placed 2nd and 4th.
This resulted in two teams qualifying for The English Schools Ski Championships, which take place next Saturday (October 8) in Norwich.
The Kingsley School is the only school in the area with a ski race team. They have been shortlisted for the Coventry & Warwickshire School’s sport team of the year.
