KHALSA recorded their fourth win of the season by beating rivals Hampton-in-Arden at home 4-0 in the Midland Premier Division.

The hosts started the better of the two sides with Gurminder Ghattaura and Jas Singh testing the Hampton keeper in the early stages.

Aaron Nagra came close after striking the woodwork from a penalty corner, however the breakthrough finally came thanks to an unstoppable shot from Alex Idoine.

Hampton were not without their chances, however Scott Angliss, Ben Stephenson and Amritpal Atwal dealt with any threat and left little for home keeper Elliot Rider to do.

Sean Robinson doubled the lead with a classy lifted shot into the roof of the net to give Khalsa a two-goal cushion at the interval.

Fully aware Hampton were capable of battling back Khalsa maintained possession after the re-start and the move of the match allowed them to venture 3-0 in front.

From defending by their own goal line Khalsa broke with some slick one-two passing between Ghattaura, Singh and Stuart Gooderham, before allowing Anit Chudasama to find Joe Colantonio on the back post for a simple tap in.

Sav Lall and Mandeep Sandhar both came close to adding a fourth with Lall opting to pass instead of shooting at the last moment and Sandhar came agonisingly close with a first time strike.

It was left for Gooderham to seal all three points late on when he fired home from a short corner.

Next up for Khalsa is a trip to Bournville this Saturday.
