AN EXCITING Coventry & District summer league season came to an for Kenilworth with all four teams finishing their respective campaigns on a high.

The standard of tennis continue to rise in the summer league and the first team did well to finish fourth in a very tough First Division.

Kenilworth’s second team won promotion last year and although they remain a few points off relegation, they can be proud of their achievements at a higher level.

There is better new for the club’s third team who are currently second in the fourth division and they need just one more point to secure a well deserved promotion to the third tier.

Finally, the Fourth team played very well to finish seventh in the Fifth Division.

“Well done to all our ladies for their commitment and great tennis,” said ladies captain Philippa Middup.

“And a huge thank you to all my fellow Captains for helping me run the teams so smoothly – Melanie Jennings, Helen Cochrane and Louise Best.”
