FOOTBALL: COMPETITION for midfield spots at Leamington will be fierce next season after Paul Holleran confirmed both Robbie Thompson-Brown and Callum Gittings have committed their future to Brakes.
Thompson-Brown returned to the club last summer from Redditch United after spending a brief loan spell with Brakes during the 2012/13 season.
He hit the ground running with some eye-catching performances during his time at the New Windmill ground.
Last year Thompson-Brown scored what arguably turned out to be Leamington’s two biggest goals – a late equalising penalty in the playoff final against Hitchin Town, and in the Birmingham Senior Cup Final against Wolverhampton.
He has proven to be deadly from 12 yards since taking over spot kick duties, and finished the season on 12 goals.
Gittings meanwhile has plenty of experience in the Vanarama National League North having spent five seasons with Kidderminster Harriers, AFC Telford, and Solihull Moors.
He signed permanently for Brakes in September 2016 and helped Holleran’s men secure a spot in the playoff final.
