RACING Club Warwick finished the season in style with a 6-3 thrashing of Uttoxeter Town as the Racers ended their campaign unbeaten in six matches.
Romario Martin struck twice for Racing with Danny Murphy, Hanibal Salami, Josh Parsons and Chris Mayuba all on target in front of 285 fans at Townsend Meadow.
The win means Warwick finish the season in 14th place as they look to climb further up the Midland Football League Premier Division table next term.
And the nine-goal bonanza began when Murphy’s fabulous header put Racing ahead before Salami doubled the lead with a clever finish following a fine team move.
However, Jack Derbyshire halved the deficit with a thunderous strike only for Martin to restore Warwick’s two-goal lead with a delightful chip over Uttoxeter goalkeeper Samuel Amedu.
The home side were pegged back again by Ethan Newton-Taylor before Josh Parsons unleashed an unstoppable 30-yard strike to send Warwick into the break with a two-goal cushion.
And Mayuba put the game to bed early in the second half when he added Racing’s fifth goal of the afternoon before Martin’s penalty put the seal on a remarkable victory whilst Reuben Kenny grabbed the visitors third goal.
