SPA Striders athlete Anne Hurrell finished as the second female runner in the Winter Wychavon Way.
Hurrell only entered the race two weeks previously and produced an exceptional run to finish in seven hours and 21 minutes.
This meant she finished as the second female overall whilst fellow Strider John-Paul Hunt placed 11th in a time of 7 hrs and 2 mins.
The pair ran a 40.6 mile route with 2,785 feet of elevation from the centre of Droitwich Spa, a significant climb up Bredon Hill to the finish in Broadway.
Further afield, Robert Egan travelled to Sheffield for a 200m indoor track race and finished in a time of 29.08 secs.
And 11 of the club’s athletes headed to Ilmington to contest race four of the Tempo Events Winter Series.
The 10km route took the athletes through Ilmington, up Campden Hill and down Larkstoke.
And the first Strider home, and third lady overall, was Kelsey Wiberley in a speedy 42 mins 54 secs to place second in her age category.
She was followed by Isla Colclasure in 48 mins 29 secs with Paul Carrott (48 mins 30 secs) just a second behind whilst James Wiberley was next to cross the line for Striders in 48 mins 43 secs.
Slightly further back were Ruth Tennant in 54 mins 6 secs, Abi Morton in 57 mins 37 secs, Gary Perkins in 58 mins 18 secs as the latter set a series personal best.
The last group of runners to cross the line for Striders were Miriam Scullion in 1 hour 2 mins and 31 secs, Ves Hill in 1 hr 6 mins 28 secs and Ellen Powell and Natalie Jackson who both finished in 1 hr 14 mins 13 secs.
