Youth club gets £300,000 National Lottery funding

A HUGE funding grant means a youth club in Leamington can keep running.

Young people from across the town use the Brunswick Youth Project, which is based at the Westbury Centre.

The organisation offers workshops and one-to-one support and thanks to a grant of nearly £300,000 from the National Lottery it can continue providing mentoring and coaching to young people.

Youth worker Kieran McGerty said: “We are delighted that local young people will have somewhere to come every week and importantly someone to talk to when they have a problem.

“As well as running the youth club and specialist projects, we are here to help young people if they are worried about anything and everything, including if they are having problems at home or school.”

The youth clubs run every Monday and Tuesday evenings.
