A TEENAGE woman was left shaken after a stranger showed her an explicit image on his mobile phone.

The 19-year-old was walking along Swan Street in Warwick at around 11.10pm on Wednesday (April 9) when the man in his 40s approached and started speaking to her.

He walked with her along High Street, Theatre Street, Friars Street and Hampton Road when, towards the end of the journey, he showed her a picture of male genitalia on his phone.

She then declined an offer to continue walking with him and left him near the Foresters Arms pub in Crompton Street.

She was not touched or injured but was very distressed by the encounter.

While walking together they passed a lone man in his 20s and a couple including a woman with blonde hair.

Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from those three people, or anyone else with information which would help with enquiries.

The man who approached the woman and showed her the image was white, around 6 ft tall and had brown, wavy hair. He was wearing jeans and a dark zip-up jacket.

Anyone with information is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
