Woman robbed during evening attack in Leamington

A WOMAN in her 20s was punched and had her phone stolen during a robbery in Leamington.

She was walking along Brunswick Street just after 11pm on Monday (March 16) when a man approached her, punched her on the side of her head and demanded her mobile phone

The victim sustained minor injuries but was able to alert a man across the road who chased the suspect that had made off in the direction of Whitnash.

The suspect is described as mixed race or olive-skinned, with short brown hair, of an average to large build, around 5ft 7in and in his 20s to 30s.




At the time of the incident he was wearing a dark brown suede jacket, with a lighter top underneath and black trousers.
