THAIS in Warwick could have been forgiven for thinking they were back in their homeland at the weekend.
The annual Warwick Thai Festival brought some tropical-like downpours quickly followed by bright sunshine on Sunday (July 12) – not unlike Thailand’s own climate.
But whatever the weather there were plenty of smiling faces as thousands packed into Market Square to enjoy everything from Thai dancing to Thai boxing – together with plenty of tasty Thai cuisine.
The festival, organised by the town’s Rotary Club, was started over ten years ago to help raise funds to provide aid following the devastating Boxing Day Tsunami.
