THE NEW Year saw a host of new arrivals at Warwick Hospital as midwives welcomed the first deliveries of 2015.
One baby narrowly missed being the first of 2015 – being born just seven minutes before midnight.
But staff were made to wait until 2.16am when the first delivery of the New Year came and was followed by a further 12 births before the day ended.
One of the lucky babies to be born was Jack Beard, who arrived at 9.03am.
His parents, Jack and Stephanie, from Radford Semele said it didn’t feel like New Year’s Day because they were so focused on welcoming their first child into the world.
New mum Stephanie praised the hospital team for taking care of her after she began experiencing minor contractions days before actually going into labour on Wednesday evening (December 1).
