Volunteers needed to help run Guide Dogs charity shop

Leamington Editorial 8th Sep, 2019   0

VOLUNTEERS are needed to help run Guide Dogs charity shop in Leamington.

The shop, which is based at the centre on Warwick New Road, is open Monday to Saturday and is short of people to help with sorting stock, serving customers and arranging shop displays.

The charity is looking for volunteers who can spare at least one afternoon a week.

Guide Dogs spokeswoman Felicity Stratton said: “Our charity shop is at the heart of our regional centre in Leamington, where around 250 dogs a year train to become guide dogs.

“The shop has been open since 2014 and raises vital income to help fund our life-changing services.

“If you could spare just a few hours a week to help run our shop, we’d urge you to get in touch.”

Volunteers must be age 16 or over. No previous retail experience is needed and training will be provided.
