TIME-travelling visitors Warwick Castle can now span a thousand years of history thanks to a new state-of-the-art attraction.
The Time Tower takes people on a tour of the iconic castle’s past using key figures from its history.
Historian Dan Jones officially opened up the Time Tower – the first UK attraction to combine 3D scanning, 3D modelling, projection mapping and 4D effects.
Time Tower is set against a backdrop of CGI and visual effects techniques as time ticks on with a cast of historical characters revealing their personal stories.
Dan, who presents the new Channel 5 show Secrets of Great British Castles, said: “Time Tower is unmissable. It uses the latest technology to grab and keep kids’ attention, and it weaves together story threads from different times in our history, to show how everything is connected. Because Time Tower uses technology so naturally, its story unfolds in a way that kids can grasp easily.”
Castle boss Geoff Spooner said: “Embracing the latest technology is a sure fire way to inspire and engage children’s imaginations and help them see history in new ways.”
