Teenage boy arrested in Leamington after police spot suspected heroin deal

A TEENAGE boy from Leamington has been arrested as part of a police crackdown on drug dealing.

The 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.

Officers from Leamington Proactive CID spotted a suspected drug deal in Murcott Road West yesterday afternoon (Wednesday May 18), arresting the teenager following a short foot chase.

The officers seized suspected heroin, cash, and a mobile phone.




The suspect has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Det Cons Pitt from Leamington Proactive CID said: “Hopefully the community is reassured by how hard we are working to create an atmosphere that is hostile to criminal activity in Leamington.


“However, we can only do this good work if communities come forward with the information. Let us know if you think criminal activity is taking place in your area.

“Feed that information to us and we will act.”
