Take a 'last look' at Cubbington's pear tree in bloom

Leamington Editorial 26th Apr, 2018   0

NATURE-LOVERS are invited for a last look at Cubbington’s award-winning pear tree in bloom.

Members of Cubbington Action Group will be leading one of the last guided walks around the ancient woodland before much of it is lost to HS2.

The high speed rail line will see 54 kilometres of the 190km route cut through the heart of Warwickshire with the first trains set to run in 2026.

The group will lead the walk on Sunday (April 29) at 2.30pm which will also take in anemones and bluebells. It will start outside the King’s Head pub on Church Hill and last just under two hours. Dogs are allowed on leads. Wellies or strong shoes are essential.

The final walk will be held on Monday May 7.
