Survey to help shape future of Victoria Park

Leamington Editorial 4th Apr, 2018   0

PEOPLE are being urged to help shape the future development of one of Leamington’s most popular parks.

The Friends of Victoria Park and Warwick District Council are jointly sponsoring a survey of park users to gather views on ideas for possible park improvements.

This year Victoria Park will be benefitting from £200,000 of council funds for park improvements and the Friends of Victoria Park – a community organisation set up a year ago – are hoping to add to the pot by securing grants for specific projects from other funders.

Friends spokesman David Adams said: “We are determined that all park users have an opportunity to help shape the development of Victoria Park so that they can enjoy the park even more.

“This is especially important when set against a backdrop of significant new development funds, current planning for new car parks, and the hosting of the 2022 Commonwealth Games at the Victoria Park Bowling Greens”.

The survey, which is on the Warwick District Council website, can be completed online by visiting www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/VictoriaPark2018, or for a hard copy call 01926 456213.
