SEVERN Trent are half way through £300,000 sewer works to tackle flooding in Kenilworth.

The water company’s contractors started replacing the sewer pipes on the A429 Coventry Road back in July, and work is on track to finish before the end of September.

Severn Trent Water’s communications manager Paul Evans said: “While we are doing the majority of this work during school holidays, we’re conscious that it may be having an impact on the community.

“We’re really grateful for the patience and understanding shown by local residents, and want to say a big ‘thank you’ to everyone.”
