Santas jump in the driving seat to raise money for vulnerable young people

Leamington Editorial 15th Dec, 2018   0

SANTA sped into Leamington to help raise money for vulnerable young people.

Charity Young People First – formerly Warwickshire Association of Youth Clubs – saw teams of fund-raisers take to the track at Mr Karting in Leamington to see who was the fastest Father Christmas.

Some 16 teams took part in the day, including property company AC Lloyd – who last year also took up the charity’s festive challenge to climb Snowdon, helping to raise £17,000.

Charity spokesman David Skoppek said: “We are very grateful to businesses who go above and beyond to support charities like ours. The profits help us to continue to provide work which is reaching hundreds of young people annually.”
