ROBBERS carrying metal bars demanded money from a shop at a Leamington retail park.

The store at the Shires Retail Park was targeted at around 7am on Friday (October 27).

Three offenders are reported to have followed two men into the store as they opened up.

The offenders, all dressed in black with one wearing a high-vis jacket and two carrying metal bars, are reported to have made threats and demanded that the safe be opened.

Once inside, the victims were made to open the safe and several thousand pounds in cash is believed to have been taken.

The victims, who were uninjured during the incident, had their mobile phones taken off them before the offenders left across the car park towards Aldi superstore.

They are then believed to have got into a vehicle which was waiting with a fourth offender, driving off towards the roundabout with McDonald’s.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and speak to police or ring 0800 555 111 to speak to Crimestoppers anonymously.
