A GANG of robbers struck four times in 20 minutes across Leamington.

Police are appealing for information following a spate of robberies between 10.40pm and 11pm on Friday (October 5).

Officers say they believe the incidents are linked.

The first robbery took place on Warwick Road and saw two 18-year-old men approached by a group in a light coloured Ford. The four men in the car threatened the pair and chased them. The two victims got away.

At 10.45pm at the junction of Russell Terrace and George Street a 19-year-old man was threatened by the gang and had his mobile phone stolen.

Ten minutes later another 19-year-old man was threatened by the group in a car park in Fallow Hill. They tried to steal his mobile phone but he ran away.

At 11pm a 45-year-old woman and her 13-year-old son were threatened by three men in Sydenham Drive. They stole the boy’s mobile phone and fled the scene in a silver Ford Focus.

Police are calling for anyone with information to get in touch.

Det cons Tom Quinlan said: “I would like to hear from anyone who can help us to identify these men or who may have CCTV or dash cam footage in the area.

“Fortunately, none of the victims were hurt but this was a frightening experience. I’m sure someone will have information which can help us to bring these offenders to justice.”

Anyone with information can call 101 to speak to police or 0800 555 111 to speak to Crimestoppers anonymously.
