THE Repair Café is open and ready to repair your broken items on Saturday April 2 at the SYDNI Centre from 11am to 2pm.
Last month the star repair was a snoring toy pig that had stopped snoring.
With a team of three repairers, diagnosing, opening and closing the incision, and soldering, piggy was fixed and snoring to the delight of his young owner.
Owners can’t just drop off their stuff, they need to be with the repairer to explain the problem – they may also pick up some new skills of their own along the way.
New volunteers, both for reception and as repairers, are welcome to come along for a chat and see what we do.
Repairs are free, but donations are welcome.
Masks are to be worn in the centre and the hall will be ventilated.
