A FESTIVE fair to raise money for homeless hounds has raised a record-breaking amount.
The Dogs Trust in Kenilworth recently held its annual fair, raising more than £5,000 for the charity.
Santa Paws was on hand to pose with two and four-legged visitors and there was the chance to stock up on Christmas shopping and enjoy some festive refreshments.
Dogs Trust spokeswoman Jane Hirons said: “So many supporters came along and we are absolutely amazed by how much has been raised. We knew last year was hard to beat but we did it! Everyone had a fabulous time and we raised £2,000 more than we did at last year’s Christmas fair.
“Everything we do is focused on giving our dogs the best care possible while they are with us, and finding them their forever homes. Without the support of the dog-loving public throughout the year, we wouldn’t be able to do this so we would like to say a huge thank you to all those who helped make the event such a big success, and wish everyone, and their four-legged friends, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
