PLANS to build 125 homes on former green belt land in Kenilworth have been given the green light.
Developers Richborough Estates applied to build a mix of one to five bedroom properties on the land off Warwick Road, close to Kenilworth Cricket Club.
Concerns had been raised that a children’s play area, which is being incorporated into the development, will be built too close to the club and leaves children at risk of flying cricket balls.
But Warwick District Council’s planning committee granted outline permission at a meeting on Tuesday (April 24).
