PLANS for a student house in Leamington have prompted parking concerns.
The decision to convert the four bedroom house for up to eight people on Cobden Avenue in Sydenham was granted by Warwick District Council.
The property has two parking spaces but no additional parking is being provided.
Residents fear the decision will add more parking problems to the already vehicle choked road.
One objector wrote: “Vehicles are parked half on the path and on the road, resulting in the risk of meeting oncoming vehicles as you have to drive on the wrong side of the road.
“At weekends the parking requirement appears to increase presumably as result of visitors of the inhabitants. With a further increase in occupancy the situation can only become even worse.”
Leamington Town Council also objected to the proposal on the same grounds.
