THE COMMONWEALTH Games sporting spectacular is also being celebrated at special festival sites in the district.

The sites – in Leamington’s Pump Room Gardens and Warwick’s Market Square – are open throughout the Commonwealth Games.

People can visit any time between 10am to 10pm and enjoy live streaming of the Games on the big screen, a picnic with friends or just soak up the atmosphere.

Both are free to attend and provide the opportunity to catch not just the sporting action from Birmingham 2022, but also a selection of locally made films and animations from local creatives as part of Warwick district’s CultureFest.

The sites also offer people the opportunity to try their hand at bowls and other Commonwealth Games sports – and possibly unearth a future champion.

CultureFest, organised by Warwick District Council, is also taking place until August 21. CultureFest showcases and celebrates the arts and heritage venues, artists, and creatives in the area, with events and activities taking place across Leamington, Warwick, Kenilworth and Whitnash.
