NORTON LINDSEY is set to welcome its first village shop.
Permission has been granted to turn an old garage – part of the newly refurbished community pub – into a local store.
The shop, which will sit to the rear of the pub, could be open from 7am seven days a week.
As well as selling traditional groceries and a selection of household goods, the shop will also house an Amazon locker for residents to collect online deliveries.
The store hopes to stock a small range of alcohol from local companies, such as Bearley Vineyard and Shakespeare Ale.
