Myton Hospice Santa Dash rescheduled

Leamington Editorial 13th Dec, 2017   0

SNOW may have called off Myton Hospice’s last Santa Run but they are not wasting time rescheduling.

The charity was forced to call off the Santa Run last weekend, but the hospice plans to hold its event on Sunday (December 17) instead.

Participants can take part in the run starting from the hospice site on Myton Lane at 10am and racing around St Nicholas Park. Runners can arrive from 9am to collect Santa and elf suits.

A charity spokeswoman said: “We want to apologise for having to cancel the Santa Dash on Sunday.

“It was a huge disappointment, however we are sure everyone will understand that the safety of our supporters and volunteers had to come first.

“We hope as many people as possible will be able to attend the revised event on Sunday and help us to still reach our target of £35,000.”

People who are unable to make the run on Sunday can complete the Santa Dash as a ‘virtual race’ in their own time or by taking part in the Leamington Park Run on December 23 (Saturday).
