IF you go down to Foundry Wood next month be prepared for a musical surprise.
Singer-songwriter John Hinton will be performing live at the Leamington community woodland on Sunday May 22.
He will perform songs he wrote with Foundry Woodland folk about nature and lockdown.
John said: “Humour can be found in the strangest of places, even at the heart of a pandemic, and can sometimes be the best way of reflecting on uncomfortable subjects.”
Chair of Friends of Foundry Wood, Kristie Naimo, said: “We are so pleased John can finally return to the woods to perform his songs live.
“All are welcome to attend our AGM beforehand of just come for the performance and enjoy!”
The event is free but there will be a ‘give what you can’ collection at the end.
The meeting will take place from 2pm with John’s performance starting at 3.15pm.
