A 64-YEAR-OLD MAN was punched in the face after a road rage attack in Leamington.

The man was driving along Cubbington Road around 7.30am on Tuesday, July 21 when a grey hatchback car swerved in front of him, causing him to stop near to the junction with Lillington Road.

The other driver got out of his car and the pair began to argue before the victim was punched in his face and stomach.

His car keys were grabbed from the ignition and snapped by the driver of the hatchback.

The attacker, who is described as of a large build and in his 50s with dark hair, threatened the victim and drove off in the direction of Tesco Express.

When the victim returned to his car, he found a note on his windscreen with the registration plate of the suspect’s car.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the assault, the person who left the note, or anyone who may have seen the driver of a grey hatchback at the time, to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101.
