Loft Theatre again forced to postpone reopening production

Leamington Editorial 12th Dec, 2020   0

THE LOFT theatre has again been forced postpone its reopening production after Warwickshire was plunged into Tier 3 restrictions.

Under the restrictions the cast is unable to continue rehearsals for Alan Bennett’s ‘The Wind in the Willows’.

It means the Kenilworth-based theatre will be unable to open in January, and comes after it was already forced to push back its opening in December.

A theatre spokesperson said: “Safety is our number one concern and so we will wait patiently until the restrictions are lifted again.

“Consequently our booking system will remain closed and we hope to bring you new dates as soon as possible. ‘The Wind in the Willows’ will remain our reopening production.

“We have a series of excellent productions lined up to follow on in 2021.

“We look forward to welcoming you back as soon as we are able to. In the meantime, we all wish you a very happy, healthy and safe December.”

The theatre has compiled a list of questions and answers on its website so audiences know what to expect when buying tickets for a production.
