It could be ye! Search for millionaire lottery ticket holder

A KNIGHT of old is attempting to jog the memory of a lotto player’s big night – before it’s too late.

The owner of a winning £1million, EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle ticket, bought for the special EuroMillions draw on New Year’s Eve in Warwick district, has still not come forward.

And in a last gasp effort to find the ticket holder, National Lottery organisers Camelot went to Warwick Castle to in their gallant quest to find the elusive him or her.

The winning selection on Tuesday December 31 was GRN686516 and the lucky ticket-holder only has until Sunday (June 29) to claim their prize.

If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket then the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings – this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life. With the help of our knights we’re hoping to get people checking their tickets before the ‘knights’ run out and the deadline to claim passes.

“Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa for this missing ticket, in fact anywhere where a missing ticket could be hiding. We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward in time to claim their win.”
