Hospital staff put best foot forward for guided walk

Leamington Editorial 22nd May, 2015 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

HOSPITAL staff pulled on their walking boots to trial a guided walk around Warwick.

South Warwickshire Foundation Trust (SWFT) and Warwick District Council have developed two routes starting from the Lakin Road hospital in a bid to encourage staff, patients and residents, to keep fit.

The walks are each a mile long and can be followed using the ‘Measured Mile’ information board and route markings.

SWFT chief executive Glen Burley said: “The health and wellbeing of the local community is really important to us and this initiative is a great way of encouraging regular exercise.

“We are continually looking at different ways we can support our patients, visitors and staff to lead healthy lifestyles and will look forward to introducing more campaigns like this in the future.”
