WINTER may be here but a homeless support charity has been firing up a barbecue with a difference.
Users of Leamington-based Helping Hands enjoyed more than 100 burgers in a grill created out of a six ton dumper truck.
Cubbington-based firm Thwaites made the barbecue for events but before putting it away for winter decided to stoke the coals one last time.
Helping Hands chief executive Lianne Kirkman said: “We are so grateful to the Thwaites team for turning our homeless soup kitchen into a winter barbecue.
“With lots of hungry mouths to feed, and heads to keep warm, the hot food and warm beanie hats provided, ensured the event was a real success. We at Helping Hands always appreciate it when local businesses help local people in need.”
