Find the Nutcracker in town and win prizes

Leamington Editorial 8th Dec, 2016   0

YOUNG and old have licence to go nuts in Leamington this Christmas.

A Nutcracker Trail is taking place across the town centre, giving shoppers the chance to win a host of prizes.

A total of 12 Nutcrackers have been placed in shop windows, each singing a line from ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’ song, for visitors to track down.

Youngsters can take part in the children’s trail by finding the locations of all 12 Nutcrackers to win a £200 kids shopping experience.

Each Nutcracker will be holding a gift featuring a QR code which gives a clue based on the song when scanned by a smartphone. Those without a smartphone can find also find a clue on the tag attached to the gift.

Children can collect an entry form from Royal Priors Shopping Centre and complete this by noting down which shop each Nutcracker appears in.

Adults are asked to find the store displaying the Nutcracker who is hiding the clue to the ‘fifth day of Christmas’ and complete a form at www.royal-leamington- spa.co.uk to enter a competition to win a £250 shopping experience.

Shoppers can also strike a pose with any of the Nutcrackers for a selfie competition and share it to the Facebook page Royal Leamington Spa Town Centre with the hashtags #loveleam and #nutcracker to be in with a chance of winning spot prizes throughout December.

The Nutcracker Trail is being run by BID Leamington.
