FESTIVE fund-raisers are urged to get into the Christmas spirit for charity.
The Myton Hospices is holding a number of events to raise money in the run up to the big day.
On Sunday December 9 young and old, and well-behaved dogs, are invited to take part in the annual Santa Dash – a 5k run, jog or walk around Victoria Park in Leamington. Entry costs £15 including a Santa suit (£5 with an elf costume for children).
And those wanting to take part in something which requires a little less exertion are being urged to take part in a ‘Festive Friday’. Businesses, schools and residents can wear Christmas clothing from jumpers to festive earrings to help raise money for the charity.
Every December those who have lost a loved one can donate to the charity to have them mentioned in one of the hospice’s Light up a Life ceremonies. They will also have a tag with their name on it placed on the charity’s Christmas tree.
