DELIGHTED coffee morning organisers say they have held their most successful fundraiser to date.
For the past nine years Brenda Fitzpatrick and husband John have organised a Macmillan coffee morning.
This year they decided to split the proceeds between Macmillan and Marie Curie after the charity supported some close friends who battled cancer.
And the delighted couple raised an impressive £950 from the event, which they held at their Kenilworth home.
Brenda told the Observer: “I don’t know where everyone came from. It’s a good job it was a dry day so people could spill out into the garden. Raising this amount really is the icing on the cake for us.”
