WARWICK District Council is again set to reduce the rent for more than 5,000 housing tenants.
The authority will make a one per cent reduction in April which will mean annual savings of between £30 and £60 per household.
District housing spokesman Coun Peter Phillips said: “In times of uncertainty and with the recent introduction of Universal Credit in our district, I am pleased that the council has once again be able to offer this support to our tenants.
“This move in addition to the start of our £14 million investment programme in council-owned homes clearly demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing high quality and affordable housing.”
