Charity supporting homeless and vulnerable given £14,000 helping hand

Leamington Editorial 20th Aug, 2018   0

A CHARITY supporting homeless and vulnerable people has been given a helping hand to the tune of £14,000.

Claverdon-based construction company MCS Group donated the money to Helping Hands to continue its work supporting some of the district’s most in-need.

The charity provides food, advice and employment services from its hub ‘The Lighthouse’ on Leamington’s Gloucester Street and relies on donations and support from volunteers.

To raise money staff from MCS held a golf tournament, clay pigeon shooting event, charity auction and evening dinner.

Helping Hands chief executive Lianne Kirkman thanked the firm for its ‘phenomenal’ support over the past year.
