WARWICK District Council (WDC) has extended its programme of events for residents and businesses interested in finding out more about the preparations, programme and opportunities available in the build-up to this summer’s Commonwealth Games.
The district will host the Lawn and Para Lawn Bowls at Victoria Park in Leamington and the start and finish of the Road Cycling Races in Warwick’s St Nicholas Park.

The events on Wednesday April 6 will contain presentations by the Birmingham 2022 team, WDC and Warwickshire County Council. They will cover some of the events taking place in the run-up to the Games from the B2022 Festival, CultureFest as well as information about the live sites in Leamington and Warwick and advice for businesses.
WDC lesiure spokesman Coun Liam Bartlett said: “We’ve got a busy and exciting summer ahead, so need to make sure that everyone in our district is Games ready. This is a chance to find out more about the arrangements in place including travel and security, roles available and the amazing line up of international sport and culture that will be happening right on your doorstep.”
