COMPASSIONATE folk at a Leamington care home are calling on the community to help the homeless.

Residents at Care UK’s Priors House are collecting warm clothing to help the homeless during the winter months.

Staff and residents from the home plan to visit Leamington Night Shelter to drop off the donations.

Hosted by Radford Road Church, the shelter provides hot meals and a safe place for homeless and vulnerable people.

Manager Francine Summers said: “Here at Priors House we’re always looking at ways to get involved and support the local community.

“When the team and residents found out about the work and support Leamington Night Shelter offers homeless people living in Leamington Spa we wanted to help, and so we’re collecting warm clothing, duvets and pillows, and books and games.

Donations should be dropped into the care home in Old Milverton Lane before Wednesday February 27.
