THE BRITISH Motor Museum is revving up for two big motorbike events.
Veteran and vintage motorbikes will be wheeling it to the Gaydon museum at the weekend when more than 500 bikes will take part in the 69th annual Banbury Run motorcycle race which will set off from the Gaydon museum on Sunday June 18, from 10am.
It is the largest gathering of pre-1931 motorcycles and three-wheelers in the world, and attracts visitors from across the globe.
And fans of the Harley-Davidson Sportster can enjoy the biggest gathering of the iconic bike outside of America on June 24.
Organised by American-V magazine, the show will include a display from Warr’s Harley-Davidson, Europe’s oldest dealer, as well as bikes from private collections.
Harley-Davidson will bring their ‘jumpstart’ rolling road, where novices can run a Harley-Davidson Sportster through the gears, while more experienced riders can test their riding skills on the motorcycle gymkhana.
