    15 May 2008

THIS week the police told us they had arrested a man in Leamington following a nation-wide appeal for help to trace him. The 32-year-old was wanted after failing to return to prison.
The lengths the police had gone to obviously suggested it was important to find this man.
Quite reasonable then that we should ask why he was wanted.
Quite preposterous the police would not tell us because it would "infringe the man's human rights".
Gone, world, mad - rearrange for suitable headline.
