Brow beaten

There have been so many different fashion fads over the years, but something that has divided the critics is the so-called ‘Scouse Brow’. Made popular by a reality TV show, the Scouse Brow involves plucking, threading and taming the eyebrow into a thin tight line, before repainting it back on to the skin with make up in order to give a neat yet surprised look.

The most surprising thing is that, no matter what the colour of your hair, you still need to paint the brows back in as dark a colour as possible. It may seem a harsh procedure, and it doesn’t suit everyone, but there are a remarkable amount of celebrities that sport the look.

Getting into the groovy

This isn’t the first time that a style has captured the public’s heart; a great many young women curled their hair upwards in a dazzling tribute to Farrah Fawcett in Charlie’s Angels. Again in the 1980s, women wore vast amounts of rubber bracelets, lace blouses and gloves to emulate the ever-fashionable Madonna. Whether we like it or not, style is very much guided by celebrity and the media, with gorgeous fashion icons such as the Duchess of Cambridge. The beautiful Kate seems to pull off every type of sophisticated outfit.  There are many places to gain knowledge on getting the perfect look and beauty and make up tips to make you look amazing.

Celebrity sells

There are a huge amount of products endorsed by and created by celebrities, so you can get a taste of the Hollywood glamour but at an affordable price. Perfumes and skin care brands like Oil of Olay are recommended by stars to show that they are trusted and well used products. This can make a product very appealing those of us who just want to look great but are on a budget so can’t afford to try out a large amount of products.

Even men’s grooming products are enjoying a surge in popularity, with celebrities fronting ad campaigns and rebranding of moisturisers to make them more masculine. If you want to get a celeb look on a budget, Super Savvy Me has a range of beauty tips to help you get that Hollywood look.

Fake it to make it

For those who weren’t blessed with fantastically long lashes there is always the option to wear fake eyelashes. There are a huge range of attractive styles as well as novelty lashes with patterns painted across them, or shapes created out of the fibres – imagination is the key when it comes to eyelashes.

There are a great range of lengthening, volumising mascaras to give you the look, if the idea of attempting to attach a strip of lashes is daunting. As for skin, gone are the days with thick layers of foundation to cover every imperfection – modern light foundations and tinted moisturisers can give you an effervescent glow without having to expose your sun to skin damage. So go on, treat yourself to some gorgeous products that make you look and feel like a star – you may not have the finances of a Hollywood star but you can certainly feel like one!
