Vehicle fire shut down A46

THE A46 closed in both directions at Leek Wootton on Monday evening (March 4) after a vehicle caught fire.

The blaze, at about 6pm, shut down the route as firefighters tackled it.

It was eventually brought under control and the road re-opened.

No further details on the fire have been released at present.
